Is Cremation The Choice For You?
If NOT, I'll help to plan your Traditional Burial.
If your choice IS cremation, you're not alone.
If your choice is cremation, you have more choices.
If your choice is cremation, you can save a lot of money.
If your choice is cremation, I can save you some headaches.
If your choice is cremation, you really need to tell your family.
If your choice is cremation, you may be surprised at how EASY it can be to plan it.
If your choice is cremation, you may be surprised at how IMPORTANT it is to plan it.
If your choice is cremation, you can still have an "Open Casket" Visitation and a Formal Funeral with a Memorial in a Cemetery.
Cremation has been popular in several parts of America for 2 or 3 full generations now.
When society makes a shift, like this one, it takes about 2 or 3 full generations to see how it shakes out.
Here is what we are seeing now on a regular basis related to Cremation and "Urns at home".
At an increasing rate, folks are bringing 1 or more Urns to our cemeteries for placement that have been at home for many years.
Here's what they say to me...
"I don't want to be burden to my family so just do what you want to after I'm gone".
"I just needed to get through the shock and expense of this unexpected situation."
"I didn't know what the right thing to do was so I just figured I'll take the Urn home and think about it later."
"He / She chose cremation because they didn't want to be a bother and to keep it cheap and simple. Then when it came down to scattering the remains I kept thinking - what about birthday's, anniversaries and holidays? Where do I go if I want to. It's not like I'm going to visit all the time but knowing exactly where they are is comforting."
What I, as your funeral guy, want to hear is, ...
"I just want Him or Her at home with me. I'll bring Him or Her to you when I'm ready to let go." or...
"This is what we always talked about and I want to honor my loved-one's wishes."
That tells me the end game has been thought through.
Please consider the above statements when deciding to scatter because of the cost or just take home because "it's all we know how to do."
Pre-Planning your cremation and making the final disposition part of the plan maintains dignity, honor and respect through the entire process.
All that is to say... Even for Cremation families there are 2 parts of EVERY Funeral Plan. Mortuary Services and Cemetery Services.
Even in the most simple of Cremation Plans.
Cremation services must ALWAYS be handled through a Licensed Mortuary.
After the cremation is complete, some families choose to use their home as the cemetery and put the Urn on display.
While this can provide a level of closeness that a traditional burial cannot offer, I encourage you to, eventually, consider a "Final" resting place in a Cemetery.
Why? Because a Cemetery is more Fire Proof, Theft Proof and Permanent than your home.
California Funeral Consumer Regulations prohibit the use of a private residence as a cemetery.
Even for 1 Urn.
With Cremation you have the convenience of keeping the Urn at home while you make monthly payments for the space you really want.
My locations have permanent, protected Ossuary Release areas (Scattering Gardens) that are Free.
(Subject to change at any time)
It's a great alternative to scattering at sea or leaving at home.
Our Cremation Nature Gardens have multiple methods and styles of placing an Urn in an individual space.
Words cannot properly describe the beauty.
